Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston on how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with care, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger instruction for the state's authorities. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor and investigative reporter at NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to her move to Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor as well as a weekday correspondent. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. The host of The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
